Lets talk about procedures- you know the ones we mean!  The ones which scare us.  The ones which we might not do very often, but when we do, it's useful to have practiced beforehand!  We're talking about intubation, cricothyroidotomy, lateral canthotomy, resuscitative hysterotomy and thoracotomy among others.  And the knot we do when putting on a Thomas Splint- how often do we wish we'd practiced!

The second thing we like to run through is equipment.  We ALL need to know how to work the Level 1 fluid warmer or set up that syringe driver, before we really need to do it in a hurry, in a real situation.
